When you join the community, we collect the details you provide, which may include:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Professional details - your discipline, current position, and company
- Educational background - your highest degree and university
- Your city in Saudi Arabia
- Optional details you choose to share, such as your LinkedIn profile
We also keep a record of the consent you give when you join.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Verify and process your membership
- Organise and invite you to community events and activities
- Connect members for networking
3. Legal basis and consent
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you join. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, after which we will stop processing your data for the relevant purposes, subject to any legal obligations to retain it.
4. Member directory
Approved members are listed in our online member directory. Your current position, company, and city are shown publicly. Your remaining profile details (name, education, email, and LinkedIn) are hidden by default and revealed only to other approved members who verify a registered email. Your phone number is never shown in the directory. If you would like to be removed from the directory, contact us using the details below.
5. Sharing your information
We do not share your personal data outside the community.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards, or as required to meet legal and operational needs. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Under the PDPL, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal limits
- Withdraw your consent to processing
- Object to certain uses of your data
